Wheel load scales / glossary

Wheel load scales are used to determine the wheel load of vehicles. The wheel load refers to the weight of the vehicle including its load on the tires. The wheel load is limited within the permissible load capacity in relation to the specified speed.

Wheel load scales are usually used in pairs to determine the axle load or for traffic monitoring. Wheel load scales belong to the category of truck scales.
